Mindfulness Workshop with former monk Vien Dinh
Vien Dinh was a monk for 15 years in the Vietnamese Zen tradition of the Chan Nguyen Monastery in Langley, BC.
In addition to Dharma teachings, Vien Dinh will take us through sitting and walking meditation, and deep relaxation. We will also eat our meal in mindfulness.
The suggested registration contribution is $25* (includes $5 for food).
Space for this event is very limited, but there are a few spaces available. To register, please call Josephine at (250) 756-2127 to have your name added to the list.
*Please note that the Dharma is free and is open to all. Contribute what you can when you register ($0.00 to $100, or whatever feels good), and attend this wonderful day with a happy heart.
Special Notes for workshop participants
Please arrive by 8:45 AM for registration.
Does anyone have a silent (or very, very quiet) fan? If so, can you please bring it to the workshop?
A Message From Vien Dinh to Participants
May All Be Well,
I would like participants to enjoy the full practice of mindfulness, which means washing your own bowls, plates, or whatever may be.
Bring a mat if you have one for the deep relaxation practice. If the weather is nice, we may lay outside on the grass. If it rains, bring an umbrella, as we'll still do the walking meditation outside.
May all beings live in perfect tranquility,
Vien Dinh
